Beginner Machine Sewing Classes

Service Description

Class fee: $110 per student, aprox 4 hours of total class time. Beginner sewing class is broken into 4 one-hour long classes. By the end of the 4th class, you will be able to join the next level of sewing- Sewing Club 101! Class Description: Dive into the world of sewing with our beginner class, designed to introduce you (or your child) to the fundamentals of machine sewing. We will cover basic machine knowledge/operation, winding a bobbin, threading the machine, and basic sewing practice on both paper and fabric. Perfect for those new to sewing or looking to refresh their skills, this class sets the groundwork for future sewing classes. Each student will go home with 2 completed projects that they made during the 4-week class! Ages accepted: 4th grade and up! I teach kids, teens, and adults. Parents are welcome to sign up for sewing classes with their kid(s) for a fun family experience! Adults not taking classes with their children will be added to an adults only class. *Adults are considered 18 years+ at the Sewing Club Studio. Materiels: Please bring your own sewing machine, 4 bobbins, and large spool of black thread. Each student must have their own sewing machine (no sharing). All other materials needed for class will be be provided for in-class use. A detailed supply list will be e-mailed upon class booking, along with student waiver. Class location: Please note all classes are in my home. I have kids, a house bunny rabbit, a small friendly dog, and a pool in the backyard. Drop-off permitted, as long as the child is picked up at the class end time promptly. 1 parent/guardian is allowed to hang out during the class (at the kitchen counter or on the front patio) if desired.
